Hey ya’ll!

I usually don’t do these type of posts, but here are some miniature, dollhouse mason jars I’ve recently been tinkering with.

I have also made them into cute Mini Mason Jar Earrings too in my Etsy shop!

When I ran across a listing on ebay for these plain, unfinished, adorable little wooden mason jars, 

I knew I wanted them.  

I just didn’t know what for at that moment.

Well, today, about a year later, I got them out and thought it’d be cute to make some tiny little dollhouse type food for the cupboards. 

And then also made a few Mini Mason Jar earrings too.

I know that dollhouse miniatures are a very popular thing, I just haven’t really ever gotten into them.  

But give me tiny mason jars and I’m there!

So here was my idea.

I just went into Word and Paint on my pc and tinkered around and made some tiny little word labels.

I couldn’t get them to print out small enough, so I eventually had to copy them on my printer/scanner/fax and then resize them.  

I think I tried a 75% first and then eventually had to go down to a 49% to get a good fit.

 I gathered up some supplies:

-Mod Podge

-Scissors

-A Paintbrush

And then I just cut each one out. They were tiny! And I use some Mod Podge to glue them on and an extra coat to seal the outside.

 

And then just let them sit and dry. And wa~la!

Here they are.

 

If you look pretty dang close, you can see I tried to make some green beans, carrots and tomatoes in the right hand corner.  

To kind of give them a different look to make a set of 4. 

The fourth one, I just left plain to say Ball.

I am not sure my usual, craft peeps will be interested in these, but hey, maybe take this label idea and use it on larger items?

I  listed these in my Etsy as earrings.

Teacher Appreciation Gifts Personalized Pencils

With Christmas just under a week away, 

I have been making Teacher Appreciation Gifts 
for my nephew to give at school.

These would also make for great "End of the Year" gifts also.

A simple, inexpensive gift would make for a perfect gift to show appreciation any time of the year.

Here are a few ideas that anyone could make whether using a wood burner like me or a simple Permanent Sharpie pen.

I engraved "STAY SHARP" on a #2 pencil

Remember, you can also write on them with a permanent Sharpie if you don't have an engraver!

Just let them dry completely before handling.

Then I simply attached a printout of a quote I saw online and just typed it up in the Paint program.

And stuck a little FACT Checker image to the side.

To insert the pencil neatly, 

I just folded the paper sideways and made two small slits where I wanted them.

Under the FACT Check image, I also wrote his teachers name:

And that was it. Here it is all complete.

And for another teacher appreciation gift idea I made him a cute keychain.

It says Mr. Mckenzie, you are phe"nautical" because his teacher

loves the anchor theme. 

And so I thought it would be a personal and cute

replacement for the word phenomenal. 

These were clear, hard plastic keychains that 

I believe I had bought from ebay years back.

They are meant to be photo insert keychains 

but they fit my purpose for this project easily.

And remember, when you are scrambling your minds trying to come up

with a great Teacher Appreciation Gift, they don't have to be expensive.

It truly is the thought that counts.

As they say, It takes a big heart to teach little minds!

I simply used the PAINT program and just typed it up with cute letters. 

Then printed that out on a piece of paper, (selecting the 3x5 size,)

cut it out and am going to let my nephew attach it as the name tag:

I used bakers twine for string. Anything would work like ribbon,
yarn, jute or string.

Here is the image I made in PAINT. If you need it, simply right click it and save.

Just right click to save if you wish to use this.

And most any teacher would be happy with the tiniest show of appreciation.

It gives them something to glance at throughout the day 

and remember why they do teach in the first place.

Personalized MINI Spoon Ornaments with Names

I ran across some cute little mini wooden spoons at Walmart recently.

I can't remember the exact price but I think they were just over $2.00 package.

I went ahead and grabbed them not knowing what I'd do with them.

But I've recently made these 

Personalized MINI Spoon Ornaments with Names

 What I did was use a wood burner and engrave each handle with a name.

If you don't have an engraver, you can easily paint each name on by hand!

Or even make cute stamping designs.

Next, I took some bakers twine and tied the bottom of the handle.

Then I took a tiny drill bit and drilled a small hole at the top.

And then attached matching bakers twine to use for hanging.

And here it is hanging up.

I had to hang them up on a primitive tree beside my mini wooden rolling pins

to get a good look at them.

And here is how I packaged them after putting them in a cute, clear cellophane bag with my shop info.

A plain brown bag does the trick.

And do you notice the mini clothespin at the top?

I also engraved that with To: Jayla to use as a keepsake name tag clip.

I think that added a cute touch.

Snowmen Light bulb Ornaments

I don't think I've previously written about these adorable snowmen Ornaments.
If I have sorry, but they are just so dang cute they need to be posted again! lol

I have taken both new and vintage Christmas tree glass bulbs and painted them up as snowmen.

Their sizes are approximately:

Height: 3 Inches; Width: 1.5 Inches; Depth: 1 Inches

I have hand painted each Christmas bulbs with various Snowmen faces and expressions and then attached craft wire for easy hanging.

These are best displayed as a set. So I tend to make a lot of them to sale.
A tree full of these would look awesome.

I do hand paint new ones each week, so no two are ever exactly alike. And that is a bonus

to making hand made gifts. Each and every one is unique.

Great to decorate with or to give as gifts separately. 

And adorable as cute tie on gifts to top wrapped gifts with.

If you have any old bulbs on a strand that don't burn anymore give this a try.
You can also buy brand new bulbs, this size in packages of 5 at Walmart and Lowes.

Personalized Ornaments and Keychains

The first day of December here brings new projects for Christmas. 

And I woke early to get a head start on them.

Since time is short, I will just include a few photos of what is keeping me busy today and for the next few weeks.

I hope it may give you some ideas on personalized ornaments you could make.

Not only by just engraving them but by painting.

And I just have to include these little babies feet badge ID clips I've been making.

And these were a few engraved wooden spoons from Halloween I didn't get around to posting.
